Privacy policy

Who we are

VVS Floors Pty Ltd (“VVS Floors”, “we”, “us”) installs resin and epoxy flooring in Sydney and surrounding areas. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, by phone and by email. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you request a quote through our website form, we collect:

• Your name and phone number, so we can contact you about your quote.
• Your email address, if you choose to give it.
• The suburb of the job, the kind of space and the finish you’re interested in, so we can check we cover your area and prepare.
• Anything you write in the message box. Please don’t include sensitive information we haven’t asked for.

To protect the form from spam and abuse, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person. It processes technical information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics. We don’t use it to identify you or for advertising.

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

If you call or email us, we’ll keep a record of your contact details and what we discussed so we can quote and do the job.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and prepare a quote.
• To carry out and support any work you engage us for, including warranty matters.
• To keep our website and systems secure and prevent spam or fraud.
• To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

We won’t add you to a marketing list or send you newsletters unless you ask us to, and you can opt out at any time. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and the Turnstile spam check.
• Our email delivery provider (Resend): delivers quote requests from the website form to our inbox.
• Our email and business software providers, where we store enquiries and job records.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it.

Overseas processing

Some of our providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Keeping it secure

Our website uses HTTPS encryption, the quote form is protected against automated abuse, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

How long we keep it

If you don’t go ahead with a quote, we delete or de-identify your enquiry within 24 months. If we do work for you, we keep job records for as long as needed for warranty and legal purposes (for tax records, generally at least five years).

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email us at hello@vvsfloors.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
